Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) are community-wide, multi-sectoral partnerships working to strengthen a community’s capacity to welcome newcomers and improve integration outcomes through enhanced economic, social, political and civic participation. A community non-profit organization or municipality hold the contract for each LIP. There are 77 LIP community initiatives across Canada, they are funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
